Sometimes an object is no longer an object, but a movement briefly frozen in time. This glass coupe seems to do exactly that. Blue and white lines dance together like soft waves, as if water and air have met and decided to stay together.

The glass itself is clear, but the subtle foil gives the surface a slightly matte feel—an almost velvety touch that surprises you unexpectedly. The contrast between the visual depth and the soft touch makes this piece not only something to look at, but also something to experience.

For Jean-Pierre, this is a play of technique and finishing: a simple material that transforms into something refined through a clever intervention. For Annette, it brings peace—the flowing lines, the cool hues, a calm presence in the space. And Babette? She mostly sees character here. A bit quirky, a bit "off-kilter," and precisely for that reason so irresistible.

This coupe fits effortlessly into various interiors. On a light wooden table, the blue comes alive, while on a sleek white piece of furniture, it takes on a serene, almost sculptural appearance. Use it as a fruit bowl, a decorative centerpiece, or simply as an art object in itself—it doesn't need to hold anything to shine.

Like every piece from De Tuin Der Kunsten, this coupe is also different from the norm: an affordable work of art with a soul, designed to give your interior that little bit more color and harmony. Not a mass-produced item, but an object that makes your space more personal.

Are you unsure where it would best be displayed? As an interior composer, I'm happy to help you find the right artwork for the right place. You're also always welcome to come and view this coupe in person in the art room of De Tuin Der Kunsten. If you'd like more information, please let me know.
